The Adventures In Veterinary Medicine (AVM) is our pre-veterinary program that gives middle school, high school and college-aged students the opportunity to explore veterinary medicine right here on the Cummings School campus. Led by current DVM candidates, and Tufts faculty and staff, AVMers spend one or two weeks (depending on age and program) learning about things like animal handling and anatomy, diagnostic imaging and procedures, suturing and other hands-on skills, and are given a glimpse into what it's like to be a veterinarian.
