About this Event
The Chewy Veterinary Leaders Program recognizes 3rd-year veterinary students from underserved groups who have shown an interest in and affinity for growing leadership capabilities. Individuals selected for the program will receive financial assistance as well as resources to support them through their final year of veterinary school and into the next phase of their careers.
Each AAVMC Institutional Member may nominate one (1) student. The school will make a selection from the applications received. Application materials should be submitted to the Office of Student Affairs via box (https://tufts.app.box.com/f/bbd2631d29664e4087bfc75476e5c3a0) or in person by 4 pm on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. The Office of Student Affairs is located in the Administration Building, room 215 on the 2nd floor.

The following materials must be submitted for a nomination to be considered:
1. A letter of nomination from the Dean of the school.
2. A personal statement from the nominee about their diversity efforts and how they intend to continue promoting diversity in veterinary medicine after veterinary school.
3. A copy of the student's resume or CV.
4. A current copy of student's unofficial transcript.
5. A copy of student's Student Aid Report (SAR) from their 2023-24 FAFSA.
6. Consent to Release Student Information form (contact the Financial Aid Office to obtain this form).
