About this Event
The deadline for nominations for faculty and staff excellence awards is Friday, March 29th. The awards will be presented at Cummings School's Appreciation Lunch on May 15th.
Cummings School thrives when our community thrives. We want to recognize those who have gone above and beyond to help and support colleagues, students, and other stakeholders. We hope that you will nominate faculty and staff you feel should be recognized for their extraordinary service to our Cummings School community and our stakeholders.
There are three award categories: Cummings School Staff Excellence Awards, Staff Teaching and Mentorship, and Faculty Community Leadership Awards.
These are awarded annually and are intended to complement our faculty research and teaching awards, our resident and intern awards, and the Tufts Distinction Awards. Awardees can only be recognized in the same category once every four years (starting in 2022).
The nomination form is relatively simple. We just need your name, who you are nominating, and a statement of nomination. More than one individual can collaborate on a nomination. The nomination form and full award descriptions can be found here: Awards TOR.

Nominees for the award are recognized as having the ideas, attitudes, talents, and characteristics that should be embedded in Cummings School’s educational culture to ensure its continued success as a dynamic learning environment. Teaching and mentorship may occur in formal settings (classroom, laboratory, clinical skills sessions) or in informal settings (clinical rotations, research projects, research laboratories). We want to recognize support of our DVM, master’s, and PhD students through these awards.

Teaching may occur in formal settings (classroom, laboratory, clinical skills sessions) or in informal settings (clinical rotations, research projects, research laboratories).
