Canine Club and SVECCS have joined forces with Dr. Rozanski who will lead a wet lab to teach students surgical technique for gastropexy, the procedure that attaches a dog's stomach to its abdominal wall to prevent gastric dilatation and volvulus (GDV), also known as bloat. GDV is a life-threatening condition that occurs when a dog's stomach fills with gas and twists, cutting off blood and oxygen.
