This presentation will be an introduction to AKC, Purebred dogs and the relationships between veterinarians and clients who are breeders and participants in AKC Sports and Events. The presentation will include highlights of the AKC Canine Health Foundation.
Tracy Powell DVM graduated from Cornell University in 2002. She owned a private practice in Manchester, CT where they provided small animal medicine and surgery services, along with canine reproduction services. Reproduction services included transcervical and surgical insemination, semen freezing and storage, fresh chilled semen collection and shipment, ultrasound, OFA and PennHIP, infertility workup, c sections, USDA health certifications for international travel, and more. Tracy is also an AKC judge of the Working Group and is a Great Dane breeder. She enjoys competing with her dogs in conformation and performance events.
Mari-Beth O’Neill, will also be in attendance at the presentation, VP Sport Services. Sport Services handles the AKC Vet Out Reach program, which includes the administration of the AKC Veterinary Scholarships and the AKC/AKC CHF funding of the Theriogenology Residencies.
