MAPP is a program of the Center for Animals and Public Policy (CAPP) and is an intensive, 12-to-16-month graduate degree program that focuses on human-animal relationships and their implications for policy and community action.
While students enter the MAPP program with different interests, skills, philosophies, and aspirations, all share a passion for understanding human-animal relationships and promoting the status of animals in society.
MAPP graduates successfully pursue careers in policy-making, law enforcement, advocacy, public education, research, animal shelter management, and applied animal behavior. MAPP graduates also have outstanding success obtaining advanced training in Ph.D. programs, law, and veterinary medicine.
