About this Event
The definition of play: engage in activity for enjoyment and recreation rather than a serious or practical purpose. Hard science tell us that play is neither silly or impractical, and many see play as essential to a happier life.
Come find an antidote to stress at our autumn event, featuring creativity with clay, building a scarecrow, and fall themed refreshments.
We will supply the clay and the School of The Museum of Fine Arts will fire your creation in their kilns.
The scarecrow building will be a fun competition of creativity. Form a team with your service, department, group, or student class. Prizes will be given to the most creative scarecrow. Everyone wins who participates as play is an important component to happiness! To sign your team up, please email: Michaela.Randall@tufts.edu
“Adults who engage in enjoyable pastimes, hobbies, and various forms of play are effectively inoculating themselves against the dark side of the modern era.” -James Redford, documentary film maker and son of Robert Redford
