Join Dressage4Kids and Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine Large Animal Hospital for an interactive day of learning including presentations and additional hands-on learning opportunities in the Hospital for Large Animals. While some of the lab rotations may remain the same as last year, we are also planning on including new lab rotations. with lectures, presentations, and hands-on activities including Ultrasound, IM/Bandaging, lameness, and hoof care. the morning lectures will include:
Julia Berger DVM "Brushing Up on Equine Dentistry: What Every Horse Owner Should Know"
Joe Davis, DVM, DACVS (LA) "No Hoof, No Horse: Keeping Your Equine on the Right Foot”
Thomas Jenei, DVM, DACVS (LA) "The Ins and Outs of Colic"
Simone March, BVM&S “MRI, CT, Oh My: Advanced Imaging in Equine Medicine”
Possible afternoon lab rotations may include:
TPR/Health Station
Ultrasound
Lameness
Bandaging/IM Injections
Hoof Care/hoof wrapping
In addition, for those who prefer an alternative to the lab rotations, we will be offering presentations in the Auditorium throughout the afternoon. The presentations may include:
