We are excited to announce that the Tufts Run/Walk Group is back, and we are happy to kick off a new season and welcome YOU to join us. We are a low-key bunch whose goal is primarily to have fun, stay healthy, enjoy social interaction and peer support, motivate one another, and maybe train for some running events if the mood strikes. We accommodate all paces, so don’t be intimidated! Not currently a runner or walker, but would like to start? You are PERFECT, please join us! We’ve had lots of fun, made new friends, and we are healthier. 😊 

We typically meet Tuesday evenings at 5:15 outside Varis Lecture Hall for a 3+/- mile run/walk (can choose a distance that works for you) around campus to take advantage of the streetlights as daylight wanes, and the plowed roadways during winter months. We welcome everyone to drop in anytime, or even announce a time for additional/spontaneous runs/walks so folks can join. Let’s start Tuesday, August 30^th at 5:15- we’ll meet outside VLH by the picnic tables.

Whether you’re interested in joining this group, or just “lurking” until you are ready to jump in, send me your email address to be added to the e-list for run/walk invitations and announcements (typically just weekly reminders). There is no obligation, just come when you can, we don’t take attendance.😉  Once we compile the elist, we’ll communicate via the Tuftsrun@elist.tufts.edu, so we don’t load everyone’s inbox with run/walk notices/invitations. You can unsubscribe at any time (although we’re sure you won’t want to). Please note- if you prefer not to be added to the elist, you can still run/walk with us anytime!

As usual, participants must be up-to-date on Covid vaccinations (this means also having a booster), and if symptoms are present, please postpone attendance. Please let me know if you have any questions. We look forward to meeting you!
