We are getting ready to start our weekly ultimate frisbee games again on campus at Phelps Field.  Additionally, our amazing grounds crew has been busy over the summer transforming our softball field from a moss covered bog to a beautiful diamond.  Thank you for all your hard work!

For those who are not familiar with ultimate frisbee, it’s a great game where the spirit of the game is a set of principles which places the responsibility for fair play on the player. Competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of mutual respect among competitors, adherence to the agreed upon rules, or the basic joy of play.  The official number of players is 7 on each side, but we could play 5 on 5 or 4 on 4 depending how many we get each week.  I have included this link for an easy tutorial on rules of the game:

We usually get to the field around 5:00PM to warm up and start a game around 5:30.  No worries if you come late, we will definitely get you in to play.  All employees and students are welcome to play or be a spectator, and ALL skill levels are welcome.  If you have never played before, it’s easy to learn and we will teach you the basics.  

NOTE: If weather is bad on Tuesday afternoon, I will email and postpone it to Wednesday of this week.
